Obituary for Bonnie F. Ralston

Bonnie Francis (Elliott) Ralston, age 84, of Mattoon passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Mattoon Healthcare.
Graveside Services honoring her life will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Toledo Cemetery. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Bonnie was born on August 4, 1934 in Mattoon the daughter of William and Grace (Oakley) Elliott. She married Ray Vernon Ralston on December 8, 1953. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2008.
Survivors include her son, Jack (Cindy) Ralston of Mattoon, IL; daughters, Vickie (Joe) Jordan of Mattoon, IL and Kelly (Dick) Kuhn of Casey, IL; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Ralston and brothers, Carl Elliott, Raymond Elliott and William Elliott.
Bonnie worked as a cake decorator for Walker’s for several years. She enjoyed quilting and going to yard sales. Most of all, Bonnie cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
