Obituary for Cynthia K. May

Cynthia Kay May, age 55, of Mattoon passed away at 2:47 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital.
Memorial Services honoring her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Marshall Avenue Christian Church, 620 South 26th Street, Mattoon, IL 61938 with Pastor Rachel Moore officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Cindy was born on February 22, 1963 in Mattoon the daughter of Joseph Elmer and Ellyn Kay (Storm) May.
In addition to her parents, Cindy is survived by her brother, Joe (Tina) May Jr. of Arthur, IL; sister, Susan (Alan) Johnson of Arthur, IL; special niece, Addilynn Cunningham; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her nephew, Owen Cunningham.
Cindy loved her work with the elderly and those with special needs. She especially enjoyed the holidays and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938 to assist with funeral expenses.
