Obituary for Juanita June Ethridge

Juanita June Ethridge, age 93, of Charleston passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 surrounded by her family.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Juanita was born on December 17, 1925 in Champaign, Illinois the daughter of Dempsey James and Ethel Cleo (Cook) Weston. She married Joseph Wesley Ethridge III on November 25, 1944 in Rantoul, Illinois.
Survivors include her children, Beverly Jo Phelps of Effingham, IL, Becky Diane (Jim) Hill of Springfield, IL, Joseph Wesley (Karen) Ethridge IV of Charleston, IL and Frank Edward (Cathy) Smith of Neoga, IL; brother, Leo (Betty) Weston of Mattoon, IL; nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and two nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years at his date of death on September 22, 2012; son-in-law, Barry Phelps; and niece Janet Weston.
Juanita was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mattoon, Illinois for 65 years and Eastern Star for 70 years. She was also a member of White Shrine and Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital Guild Auxiliary.
